The Coach House Ceramics Gallery
Established in 2000 in the stone outbuildings of Ballinacurra House, The Old Kinsale Pottery sits above the Bandon River, just a kilometre from the harbour town of Kinsale.
Built in 1770, this picturesque centre has developed from ceramics teaching to a broad slate of wellness classes and courses that soothe, inspire, and reconnect.
The Coach House Ceramics Gallery showcases the work of Adrian Wistreich. Adrian is the founder of The Old Kinsale Pottery and continues to create a diverse range of pieces in his on-site studio.

Adrian Wistreich
My work is sculptural, grounded in form and texture and is realised through smoke-fired abstract ceramics and explorations of people and animals.
I love to introduce colour by crafting my own stoneware glazes and I’m keen to break down the walls between traditional craft skills and the perceived exclusivity of fine art.
For a long time I have sought the middle ground between production pottery and unique studio ceramics including a wide range of decorative but functional porcelain ware, animal teapots, and wall-sculptures.
